Can I Purchase Upgrades

I called US yesterday to ask if I can purchase upgrades for my LGA-ATL-MCI-LGA swing that starts tomorrow. I am Gold Preferred, and I was told that US discontinued this product. If so, is there any other way, besides miles, to upgrade?

Thanks.

What????? This would be new to me. My experience has been that DMUP01s could be purchased for $40 a piece.

Still listed on the web site so call the CTO or airport. That is where you are supposed to be able to buy them. If not available, this is a recent change under the radar.

Is Glenpgr a preferred member ? He might be on discounted fares, which , unless he's preferred, he cannot upgrade anyway. Maybe it wasn't explained by the rep. I have not seen anything stating purchased upgrades have been discontinued. I'll check tomorrow at work.

UPDATE: I called US back, and yes, there is an upgrade policy. I purchased an upgrade for ATL-CLT-MCI for $40. Upgrades were not available on other flights. Everyone, please take a sigh of relief.

I thought you meant paper upgrades actually.
