Hotel benefits for Gold Preferred members?

Are there any hotel benefits other for Gold Preferred members that Silver Preferreds don't get? I was just looking at the manual and see that there is complimentary Hlton HHonors Silver VIP membership. Does this improve with Gold? Thanks and please e-mail me.

I don't see any reason why this shouldn't be published:

For Chairman's I get complimentary:

Hilton Gold
Hyatt Platinum
Starwood Gold

If you don't get information for the Gold level, I'll check my wife's information and post that.

Thanks all. Apparently my Gold package couldn't be delivered due to a bad address, but it didn't stop TWO Silver packages as well as a bunch of upgrades from being delivered (to Canada).

dg1 listed the ones for CP, and I don't recall any others.

I'm curious what Golds/Silvers get. I'd assume a level lower than CP for Golds and nothing for Silver, but I'm not sure.

Nor am I sure why this is a secret.

Silver gets 1) Silver VIP at Hilton HHnors (need a promo code) and 2) room upgrade at Radissons (just present your card).

Looks like Gold only gets the Starwood "Corporate" benefit in addition.

You CPs get a lot more!

I am still trying to figure out what the Starwood's Preferred Corporate Guest benefits are. I can't seem to find any difference from regular Preferred Guest.

I think it's just a ploy to get Starwood in the membership book without actually giving you guys anything

Just a quick OT question -- can you sign up with Starwood w/o putting a credit card on your account? I tried to sign up online and it insisted on a credit card.

I signed up with Hyatt for Platinum access via email, they replied and granted my access in three days. I'm still waiting for Hilton -- two weeks since I sent the email. Those guys never learn

I signed up for the Hilton Silver VIP membership under the US promo. US doesn't mention you need 4 stays to activate Silver status!

I didn't have that problem. Hilton showed as Silver right after I signed up under the promotion.

SPG Corporate Preferred benefits are essentially the same as Gold Preferred (upgrades, etc.), except no 50% elite bonus. Instead, you get a 2000 point bonus after your 5th and 10th stays. So, depending on your habits, you need to decide whether you'll earn more than 2000 points in elite bonuses over five stays. If you spend more than $4000 every five stays, then Corporate Preferred actually limits your point earning ability. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong...
