747 Old C??
I used miles to upgrade ORD-SFO on 6/22 because it showed the new C product. I was also under the impression that 747 conversion has been completed. Today when I opened the seat map it showed old business class. UGH. Is this possible?
And when I called to ask to be downgraded and placed back in C (I would never use 15,000 miles to upgrade to old C), I was told economy was sold out!

They have pulled one old plane out of the desert, and a UA employee indicates it will be used as a sub, and domestic runs.
IMhO, 15K for a domestic upgrade to old C is still better then domestic F.
Also, agent is correct, there needs to be inventory in your original fare bucket to downgrade. However, you still could downgrade the day of your flight.
Finally, are you UDU eligible?
