JFK RCC has the towers

Searched and did not see this reported (but bartender said they have been in placed for a couple of weeks)

JFK RCC has the snack towers like LAX,BOS, SFO, LGA, SEA ... with dried fruit, cubed cheese, ...
plus little snack sandwiches (tuna fish)

^^

Have the snack sandwiches shown up anywhere else? I certainly haven't seem them at BOS or any of the other RCCs I've visited recently.

I haven't seen them at the 10 or so I have been to in the past few weeks.

I mean...real food?

The snack sandwiches show up randomly at the JFK RCC. I think they are either excess from the First Class Lounge, or one of the employees decided to move the sandwiches from FCL because they are not being consumed. ^

Yes, I believe the sandwiches are from the first class lounge, which is usually empty. The last time I was at JFK (a fortnight ago or thereabouts), I was told that as a 1K RCC member I could use the FCL. Didn't really make a difference as I was the only person within about a mile anyway!

Really? That would be a real improvement!

I've been there twice and both times there was just one other person. It was kinda fun to have sushi at 5:30am before my 6am flight. And since the champagne was already open......

They really told me that.... doesn't make it true, of course!

I'm generally there in the evenings before the late Mesa flight to Dulles (which no longer exists). Four or five staff, and myself. Occasionally one or two others.

Weird - I've never seen the JFK FCL empty, especially since p.s. F gets access (which would be like 12 pax per flight to LAX/SFO).

Since employees NRSA'ing in F can't use the RCC, that number goes way down every flight.

Just saw them in PDX a couple of days ago, along with the cookie tray and cheese cubes.

I saw the three towers in JFK and SFO (domestic) RCCs.

(slightly off topic below and also a rant)
But even with these three towers and 4 more RCCs closing soon, it is hard to justify spending 55K miles for an RCC membership.

Any recent updates for the JFK RCC? Will be heading there in a few days and want to know what to expect with regards to drinks (non-alcoholic) and foods (if any for the latter). TIA.
