E+ question

Hi,

If a couple were travelling together, and one had status for E+, would they both be allowed to fly in E+?

Yep, United is good about that. I travelled with three other non-status family members before and we took up the best seats in E+ because I'm a 1K. They loved me more that day (for my bennies, I'm sure)!

When once you have experienced being a 1K, you will forever fly the friendly skies with your eyes set on 100% mileage bonus and SWUs, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return, every year!

Three other passegers?? This sounds like a new policy, or perhaps somebody at UAL was being accomodating. I was under the impression that only one other passenger could reap the benefits of traveling on the same (or linked) PNR as a 1P or 1K.

Even when I was "only" a 2P, if a reservation was made with my wife (non-status) at the same time we had no problems sitting in E+.
If she booked her trip separately (on a different PNR) then a quick phone call to the MP Premier desk usually resulted in adjacent E+ seats.

As has been posted before, if you are on separate PNR, or if there are more than 2 on a PNR, and you are able to get a CS agent to put you in E+, it only seems to stick if there are NO schedule changes or equipment changes or anything. Any sort of change, however small, seems to result in the E+ "challenged" to be bounced back to never-never land, otherwise known as 55E.
