No, I would have remained a 1P like the past two years.
Thanks to DEQM, I spent one weekend in MUC and one weekend in SYD, something I would have never imagined myself of doing it.

I am at 94 EQS so I would have been 1K via EQS. Right now my travels have ended for a couple of months, but just did my calculations and DEQM will put me up to 103K EQMs if I didnt complete the 6 remaining EQS first.
For me its a great achievement as I was General Member on 01/01/09.

Yes i would be 1K without the DEQM. What it has done for me is to put me at 1.5K so two extra SWUs.

Probably. I am at 54k EQM now and statistically I would barely make it to 1K. With DEQM I will boost to 85k EQM and clear 1K probably in July. Maybe I can pick up an extra 50k for more SWUs.

Yes, I'm already at >80k EQM (without DEQM), and have trips to S. America and Asia yet to go (and those booked in biz, to boot), as well as several mainland trips in economy.

No. I would have stayed 1P instead of hitting 1K sometime in the fall.

Nope.
In the previous four years I qualified for 1K, I averaged about 60-65K BIS miles. Will be about the same this year.
I don't have the time, the patience, the desire, or the discretionary funds to do 100K actual BIS miles.
Hats off to those who do.

I probably would have missed it by a few thousand miles, like last year.

Nope. Booked some F, C and Y fares to get there. For me it is a test to see if 1k is worth it for 2011. If not than I would probably go for "mid-tier" between two airlines say CI and UA because the fares are cheaper with CI transpac. I don't mind paying more if it is worth the price to stay with UA for 2011.
