The flight is showing F5 C9 and Y1.

Surprised you can not get a seat assignment -- do you have any status on UA?
40+ seats (mostly but not all E+) are showing as unassigned ( while Y1) -- this UA923 May 24, right?
Also showing NF2 and NC5 -- so (supported) upgrades are available

yes 923. really? that's odd maybe my itin is screwy.
