Where is my upgrade?
Still waitlisted as 1K for UA 840 LAX-ORD tomorrow 5/23. Seat map shows 12 open seats and inventory shows F9.
Noticed that I am NF wiatlisted and if you search for F flights (instead of C) on ual.com, 840 doesn't appear. Only appears if you search for C. Could that be the issue?

IF KVS has it right, your flt is F9, P9, A9, Z9, C9, but all of the Ycabin is 1.
I think the "call in" advice is best. My guess is that you will clear tomorrow.....

Cleared this morning about 4 hours prior to departure. Still seem to be plenty of open seats in F.

Cleared this morning with or without the call?

I'm on that flight on the 9th. Already cleared into C. I see that the load in F is F=5, with seatmap showing 1 seat occupied, so I believe it to be correct in this case. I wonder if they'll do UFC on this route, or just fill the F cabin with non-revs?

No, the flight doesn't appear if you do a search for F flights because only a select few F fares allow you to book F on a 3-cabin aircraft. Even if you select refundable F on .bomb, you are unlikely to get one of those fares and hence the 3-cabin flights are not shown as an option.

Sorry, this cleared without a call. Had an open seat next time me as well.
BTW, I was referring to the LAX-ORD 840 flight, which is only a 2 class cabin. The strange part is that the flight would not show up if doing a flight search for F inventory, only if searching for C.

any chance the lack of F has something to do with a connecting flight?
I'm just guessing but maybe the previous or following segment is sold out in F and it messes up the buckets to be sold.
Or it could be just like the error message I get now when trying to upgrade. dot bomb issue
