NRT lines...

Has anyone heard or experienced what the lines and waits are for travelling out of NRT these days? I am thinking of taking a quick trip there and back but I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I go.
Thanks for any info anyone has...

No major hassles at NRT. UA and other airlines are doing random inspections of luggage during check-in and of carry-ons during boarding, but waiting times are not significantly longer than before. Ditto for other UA stations in Asia, where there has always been better security than in the U.S. Enjoy your trip.

I flew out of Narita on October 14; it was a breeze to check in and get through security.

Thanks for the info...now I just hope there are no other 'attacks' that would interfere with all of our travels anytime soon...or ever...

Lines for economy and business/First are both about 30-40 minutes from getting to the line to being able to go through immigration. The queue was around the desks on Friday last week. If you imagine the place you enter for C/F and then go back along the perimeter to the corner by the entrance to baggage screening, and then going back along toward the AA counter exit point it was that size. Moved fast and they regularly pulled people oput to expedite that were seated in F or who were on flights leaving soon. Well handled, neat and easy to cope with. After check-in it was very smooth sailing all the way to the plane.

Me, too. Had way too much time to spend in the terminal and in the huge RCC. NRT has always had tight security and I expected much more than I saw there on the 14th.

The terminal area was very sparsely populated.
