I can confirm that southpac flights (SYD/MEL/AKL) are all fine and will not be touched.

Up until today, UA still had the non-stop ORD-AMS-ORD flights on their schedule from November until at least Feb (my latest booked flight). But alas, today they have ended the non-stops, so a connection through IAD, LHR or FRA are the only options from ORD. Such a pity, it was a great flight and usually full; in fact they took me as a VDB three weeks ago.

The "bailout" seems to be directed to protect the investors not the already grieving employees of this airline and other airlines...

The JFK-EZE drop really kicks me in the shins. I pray that ORD-EZE doesnt also get the axe, else I will have to go through MIA for all my Argentina travel.

Any ideas on what the luck of the ORD route is/will be? Im guessing that for travel originating in the west coast, MIA is the more logical gateway, so I wonder why they didnt axe the ORD direct instead of the JFK, was this just load factors?

Could anyone please confirm if the DEL flights are cancelled indefinitely or only for the short timeframe. I am currently booked on the ORD-DEL nonstop in Dec-Jan. Thanks.

They announced by a press release that they are dropping service to India all together. Canceling the LHR-DEL and HKG-DEL, and will not be starting up the ORD-DEL flight.

A rumor that I just saw on PlaneBusiness:

United will eliminate meal service on all flights under four hours in coach.
