Whose delay info is correct?

I just got an SMS from United saying my flight (UA 6449) ORD-SLC is going to take off at 5:57 PM instead of the scheduled 5:15 PM tonight.

Flightstats.com and flightaware.com both still say it's on time.

WHo is correct? I'd generally go with UA on this one, but I've never known those other two sites to be different.

I'd go with UA, also try unitedcargo.com. When delays are involved, I have often found flightaware to be different.

Heh, on the other hand, unitedcargo.com thinks the flight is on a 727...

Origin Airport Destination Airport Type of Aircraft Scheduled Departure Time Adjusted Departure Time Scheduled Arrival Time Adjusted Arrival Time Reason for delay
ORD SLC 727 17:15 17:57 19:45 20:27 OPERATIONS

I would also go with UA on this one, and, yet, show up at the airport as if the flight was on time. Two weeks ago, my flight bounced around between being on-time, then 2 hrs, 4 hrs, and finally 15 min late.

I have no clue how that works.

regardless, do not consider arriving at the airport later. All the checkin triggers are based on scheduled departure and the delay can go away.

Good points...I will still arrive as if the flight were on time.

Easy Update is usually right in this case. United.com says 5:57 PM as well. The plane is probably going to be late arriving into ORD and that is causing the delay.
