Any luck exchanging electronic NA upgrades?

Any luck exchanging electronic NA upgrades?
Has anyone had any luck getting United to exchange the electronic NA upgrades for miles?
I know you can exchange the 500 mile upgrades, and officially you can not exchange the NA upgrades for miles. I was just wondering if anyone tried and if you did were you successful?
I have never needed to use an HK49. When they were paper they easy to give away. Now that they are electronic, they are more difficult to give away. So I thought I would try to exchange them for miles instead.
