E+ access (Premier) but crediting to another program..

Hi UA folks!

Question: Buddy and I are travelling to the USA soon... he is going on to Africa, the lucky sod....(UA to LHR then SA to JNB)..

He is currently Premier with MP.. but is crediting from now on to the NZ program (our travel patterns make that worthwhile.. trust me.. in fact the travel we have already booked will get him to Gold this year)

SO... he wants to credit the UA flights to NZ.. but of course wants to get E+ seating as well TATL...

I know from FT reading that that IS possible (FQTS etc)... but would it work this way?

>>> If we were to talk to RCC staff at LAX while waiting for our onward flight could THEY "make it happen"... or is some other approach required...(Airport CS desk? Call from within the USA?)

I'd rather not try to call UA from here.... I think we get Manila....

Thanks in advance!

It may be easiest just to put the MP number in the record and switch it at/after check-in.

OK.....Thanks!

...that will require "special briefings"! My buddy is a great guy... but there are reasons why I do all the travel planning...

He can be a bit absent minded.........

If at all possible I'd like to tee it up for him... and I don't think I'll be at ABQ with him when he is checking in for the African jaunt...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........

Thanks again... I'll just brief him to have it changed after check in etc.... as per the advice in that thread!
