I've done PHL-Hawaii many times in E+ and I'm 6'5" tall.

I've done SFO-LHR several times in E+ and it's even longer than IAD-HNL. It works out just fine.

I fly domestic FC or business 90+% of the time, but every thanksgiving, my family and I always book coach to Hawaii. We've done fine in e+ every time and saved buying $1100 coach tickets.
Never had a problem with it. E+ is almost the same spacing as domestic FC, but the seats are not quite as wide. I pack food for us to snack on (lunch meats, bread, cheeses, crackers, instant soups (cup o noodles that only need hot water), fruit, etc. and it works out great.
