What to do with Unwanted MileagePlus miles?
What can one do with 5,000 dangling miles, no intention of flying with United and costs $110 to transfer out to someone? And not an elite MileagePlus member.

MileagePlus 5,000 miles
Yes, I am 1K. I was enquiring on what to do with my sister-in-law's 5,000 miles. I thought of transferring the miles to my account but it costs $110 to do so. Besides, I don't need the miles.

United miles I wont use
I have 48,000 miles that I have no use for. I fly internationaly most of the time and when I fly domestic I am always with someone. Anyone have any idea on the best use for these points???

Get to 90 posts and use Coupon Connection to get hotel vouchers or something else you need. Just remember not to let them expire in the meantime.

If you can't plan ahead for award ticket, at least you can try to use miles for upgrade.
For upgrade, recommend you do it before the co-pay policy start. "Effective July 1, 2009"
Keep you accont active (sky mall, idine...) before you use your miles.

Once you reach 90 posts (it might take a week for it to appear), you'll see it under the "Community" section.
Good Luck.
PS - Don't try to pad your post count with nonsense though, Mods might delete posts if they think you're just trying to get to 90 without contributing anything.

Absolutely right, that we'll moderate an itchy trigger finger if the posts have no value.
Moving this to UA, as it doesn't specifically pertain to credit cards.
