Systemwide Usage
I'm doing a mileage run in two weeks: ORD-EWR-LHR-AMS-ORD. While only Premier, my co-worker gave me an expiring systemwide to use. I called UA and had them put me on the waiting list. My question is...since I'm using a SW, will my upgrade be comfirmend 100 hours prior or 24 hours? Or not at all?!

Your upgrade should clear as soon as the flights release some 'NC' seats. When? I do not know since it depends on the yield management system.
But generally the 24 hour rule should not apply because you are not using the 500 miler certs.

Make sure you get on the PA1 list, if you're not already. (There are threads on this topic elsewhere.)

Of course, one can always ask (nicely) and hope.

I'm told non-1Ks in such circumstances go PB1 instead.
