1K Int'l Phone Reservations Line -- Why the Wait?
I write this as I wait on hold for the "special services desk" to tend to my call. Is it just me, or is it taking longer and longer for UA to answer the 1K int'l res. line? 10 minutes seems to be average...and I'm routinely waiting 15 minutes or more, even when calling at strange times during the night.

It's a real mess... I've been on hold and given up a number of times today... Int'l seems to be the worst... Domestic 1K picked up pretty quick... then I realized I needed to have pressed #2... and back to hold land. Please UA get some bodies on those phones!!!

Sorry to duplicate your existing post. Didn't do the obligatory search first before posting....just wrote this thread in a moment of rage--kept on hold for 18 minutes and 45 seconds before receiving "special service" from the "not-so-special services" desk.

JohnnyGlobal,
Don't worry about it. It was the same rage that prompted me to start the thread last week. I seriously believe that what we're seeing are precursors to a bumpy road in the upcoming months, especially due to the all the media hype with the strike threats. I would guess that the plus-up in 1K's is probably not all that large. If it were, it would mean that UA really screwed up a relatively simple exercise in mathematics and probability, which I really doubt, all sarcasm aside.

I having been having the same problems with 1K International phone line. It would seem that some of the highest revenue tickets would get more attention than what they are giving us. Not feeling very special from the specialist line.
