Boarding Priority Question

This may be a stupid question, I did try to do a search.

I am star silver on US Airways, but I'm switching to United so I'm using my mileage plus number on my reservation. As I have zero status on United at the moment, my boarding pass says zone 4 on it. Can I still board with zone 1 if I flash my US Airways silver card? Just hoping to be able to get my carry-on in the overhead bin...

Thanks.

Show them your *A card at the airport. You can use an MP number and still carry *S status. I don't believe it gets much of anything on UA though. *S is kinda like 'thats nice.'

Thanks. Yeah, star silver is pretty worthless. But I know it used to get you zone 1 boarding on United. Not sure if that's true anymore...
