Short book

In exchange for some multiple problems with UA, they offered my wife a "book of Confirmed North American Upgrades". The "book" contained 2 upgrades. This is either the shortest book we have ever had, or something when wrong in the translation. Does anyone know how many upgrades to a "book"?

Thanks.

I've only seen books of four 500-mile upgrades. Maybe you rec'd two 1,000-milers?

Not 500's or 1,000's. US, not Hawaii, etc blah, blah, blah

Are they bound on the left side, or are these HK49 certificates. That would be indicated in the upper right hand corner of the certificate. If it is indeed these certificates, only two come on a sheet and you got a better deal than a book of 4 500 mile certs.

Those don't come in "books". They are only given for customer service-related issues. I recently got *6* when my wife and I were downgraded from our confirmed, miles-paid upgrades on one segment of a two-segment leg. So we still had the miles deducted, even though we sat in coach for 2/3 of the total trip. So I talked her into 3 segment upgrades each. It wasn't hard, I probably could have gotten 10. She just typed in the number and printed them off.

The terminolgy was UA's, not mine. The profile name is UpgradeHK49 as NCORMAN suggests. Like I said "book" is a grand term for two certificates.

Sounds like a novella or novelette to me.

Sounds like the confirmed North American upgrade certificates given to 1Ks.

Does anyone know how many certificates are in a "...a book of Confirmed North American Upgrades".

My wife was offered such an item, but received only 2. Is that a book?
