Punki,
I too, just got my miles posted and they do NOT show up as status miles!! I'll have to contact Mileage Plus on Monday. It is fun to watch the numbers change, kind of like the sign at McDonalds! :-)

I spoke with UA MP today and got the same answer as Punki. On the first pass they are crediting everyone with 2500 bonus miles; on the second pass they will do the status. I was told to expect anywhere from 2-4 weeks before the bonus miles are reflected as status miles. I can't wait - 1K status!!!

The 2,500-mile O'Hare bonus was credited to my online Mileage Plus account. However, in contradiction to the letter received, the points were NOT tabulated for elite qualification. Sigh. Guess I'll have to call customer service. Oy.

Read the previous few posts, and your concern about the status miles should be alleviated, at least for now. I was about to say the same thing myself...

I talked with a Mileage Plus CSR today, and she said she was told the "status" part will be posted around 3 September. As you know, the miles have already posted.

I checked my online statement today. The 2500 miles have also now been credited to my status miles.

Congrats MileKing, I'm a flight short of PE myself. BTW, the best airline is the one you vote with your dollars. I think as a 1K you'll like United much more.

Congrats MileKing!
My 2,500 miles have been added to my Year-To-Date status miles as well. I thought this would put me over the One Million mark, so I called the United MP Service Center and was told..."Nope, not yet." I was informed that the Million Mile total is caculated on actual air miles only, this status bonus, fare bonuses, and even the 500 mile United minimums do not count towards Million Mile status. Boo-hoo. I guess I'll just have to wait until my Sunday flight from ORD-LAX to finally hit the mark. The lady at MP was very funny and promised a brass band, red carpet, keys to the terminal, and fireworks upon my arrival! I can hardly wait!!

My status miles posted today too. Unfortunately, it will be all I can do this year just to hang onto Premier (just think, only last year I was a PE), & this will definitely help.
