United - I am stunned
Now I fully expect UA to liquidate.
I will be using my miles. This is truly shameful. |
Horrible move.
Enough is enough, i'm not setting foot on a UA plane again whether it be domestic or international. |
I'm not usually one to jump on the "bash UA" bandwagon but this is sad. 8-10 hours on a plane and one gets the opportunity to buy crackers and a can of tuna. And "BOB" and "United Business" don't even belong in the same sentence.

Its sad when US is becoming better than UA.
|
With this move, I am sure United is sure to go under in the next 6-12 months.
Southwest is looking better and better. |

Even US is starting to look an appealing option to the East Coast now. |
Don't the UK charter airlines still give free meals in Y on longhaul flights? I remember they still sell drinks and snacks, but why can't UA do that? Offer less service than charter carriers is a dangerous low...

EDIT: forgot the silver lining: more SWUs will clear at time of booking now. I am stunned. Fees for coffee, tea, soda, and water in coach are coming on domestic flights next, no doubt about it. |
I call bs. I believe the original post to be a hoax.

Anyone who thinks UA is going to roll out lie flat C on BOB/UB flights dreaming. If UA can't afford to properly cater a $3K Z fare, it can't afford to reconfigure the planes for the new C configuration. UA might as well go all E-/E+ on TATLs because BA and LH are going to own TATLs.
The TATL is only from IAD, and those are shorter flights. It is a pain to have BOB, but realistically, the charge for alchohol means more to me personally, and it hasn't put UA under. Most flights you have a meal after getting on the plane, then just get food when you arrive in Europe. The "breakfast" was always bad and the flight wasn't long enough to worry about needing two meals. While this sucks, I would simply bring food on board and not buy the breakfast. $5 isn't going to make me leave UA. |

Just unbelievable.

I have almost 900,000 still in my MP bank...was a 1K for years.
Moved to DC this year, got a status match to Continental Gold. 5 segments on UA and 80 so far on Continental. With Continental coming to *A soon, I'm never looking back to UA again... This is the last straw... randomman |
