Using MP Miles for Trips from Buenos Aires (EZE)
I spoke at length with a 1K rep and also tooled around on FT and have not been able to find definitive information on whether there are any partners flying out of EZE that go to places like Central America or South Africa.
I know I can fly to IAD and pretty much anywhere from there but Taca is listed as a "partner" of United but it is very unclear whether I can use MP miles to book on Taca and when I spoke to the 1K agent, she said there was no valid routing to anywhere in Central America or South Africa (though her tone didn't exactly inspire confidence in her sleuthing abilities).
I appreciate any assistance from old hands.

Thanks!
Thanks for the very speedy reply. I wonder why the agent told me there was no valid routing from EZE to Central America on Taca (or any other airline). Maybe I just try another agent.
The United website Star Alliance chart says an intra-S. America flight is 25,000 miles but the link pasted says it costs 30,000 United miles to fly an intra S. America flight on Taca. Which do you think it is?

Let us know if you have success booking within SA. I am interested in availability (but not enough to call just yet
)
