Agreed - Although they use the same engine as the *A Global timetable.
Now as the timetable app seems to be mostly a Flash object, it shouldn't hard to code up an app.
Now a portable app (ala the Windows Mobile app) I accept will be a lot more of a challenge.
Still a royal pain though
(and no a PDF timetable doesn't cut it
)

Since I was on the site, I felt inclined to post:
http://www.staralliance.com/en/travellers/index.html
Albeit a bit cheesy, the picture shows a hand with an iPhone and the Star Alliance timetable.
Agree with others that say this should be done to accommodate the offline capability of the phone, but how this still takes time for IT resources to be involved with the development of the application.

It may be forthcoming. If their are designing an app and have it done, it would be announced with the iPhone 2.0 launch in the upcoming week and the opening of the iPhone app store.

Do any airlines in the US give any Mac love? I know of a few widgets that are out there featuring the UA schedule, but a native OSX app would ROCK!
Does the airline industry not realize that Mac's are currently the fastest selling/fastest growing PC sector?
BTW - Anyone excited about the MobileMe launch this week? Push e-mail and CALENDAR UPDATES!!! No more synching necessary, plus, it will synch with Outlook. My favorite part is that it will be accessible via the web. NICE!
(And yes, I realize Friday is the 3G iPhone launch. :P I am locked in to Verizon with my work phone, so no iPhone for me...for now

Ah. Stone age palmtops - or too cheap to buy a new one
Says he who has a Psion Series 5 somewhere.
Admittedly, I would like a iPhone version as i'm in the queue for one on Friday morning....

The Blackberry timetable is an absolute joke.
This is probably the only area where I miss my Treo -- the availability of applications and their functionality are excellent.

I actually still have a Palm, currently work (and thus am making some money) as a consultant and have a degree in Software Engineering (no, not Computer Science).
Plus, I am happy that I currently have three Timetables as off-line applications: United, Star Alliance and AA...all which work flawlessly.
Now, the Palm is on it's last lifeline...but that's just because I use it all the time!
An upgrade isn't too far away for me - but I've got a Palm and happy for it!
