UA & *A Award question

Perhaps one of you experienced board members can clarify this issue for me. I have booked an award ticket for October from PDX-BKK and return. My flights are UA PDX-SEA in coach, UA SEA-NRT in First, TG NRT-BKK in First, with the return of TG BKK-HGK in First, UA HKG-SFO in First and UA SFO-PDX in coach. I verified my itinerary yesterday and the itinerary indicated a schedule change. I called United, and the recording stated I was booked in economy on the Thai legs. The booking class on the itinerary was "O" for both legs. I looked up "O", and it shows that this is a booking for an award ticket in Business. I then called United. I reached a pleasant young man who took some time, including checking with a supervisor, and then came back and said that the "O" award was definitely First Class, and then told me I would love Thai, as he had flown them the previous year on vacation to Phuket. My question is should I be concerned about the "O" booking class and the fact the recorded voice said Thai Airways in coach, or am I making much to do about nothing.
Thanks for all replies.

O is for first class.

If you want to make sure, call Thai airways to confirm by giving them your date of flight and name.

Thank you all. I now feel better. I intend to take the advice to call Thai, since I want to get a confirmed seat assignment anyway.

Good thing you weren't on TG's BKK to New York flight..since apparently TG announced that they discontinued that route effective today.

* UA's voice system which reviews flighs has a strange glitch that will tell you you're booked in coach when on partner flights in premium classes.

* O is First.

* Advice above is sound, contact Thai (I've found them quite email responsive .. .contact -at- service.thaiairways.com) and request your Thai record locator as well as specific seats.

* Don't forget that in Thai First you can pre-order your meal if you wish. And enjoy the outstanding ground service. You'll be met on arrival at BKK and escorted through immigration. But they really shine on the departure. Make sure to arrive at BKK in time to have a nice hour long massage in the spa! (Onboard their service varies tremendously, some crews are great and some really stink.)

I am holding two (2) UA/MP-issued *A awards with segments on TG. I can see both itineraries in My Itineraries on ual.com. Business class on TG shows correctly as "I" while First class shows correctly as "O". Note that even with seat assignments from TG your seat assignment on ual.com will show as "N/A", and it will say "no meal service". TG equipment shows accurately. If you are TG 677 NRT-BKK, and I think you may be, that will likely be a A340-600, so the newest/best seats.

Departing BKK you'll also be able to use TG's FC check-in (door 1, row A) with your own Immigration counter so no wait.

FWIW, on UA "O" = XC, Business class award, so perhaps the confusion beagn there?

I am looking forward to experiencing TG's First class. I have read reviews on the groundside experience, and the thought of avoiding BKK's immigration lines is very appealing. I had read about the pre-ordered meals, and will take advantage of that. Lobster Thermidor sounds really good. Thank you all for your replies and advice.

Are you confusing it with SQ? Or does Thai offer the same dish as well?

TG offers the same dish.

In my opinion, TG F inflight service is really a hit or miss. My recent NRT-BKK-NRT in TG F was at the level or UA Y service on a bad day.

Yea, I wasn't that impressed with TG with the short flights albeit it was in J. SQ has the most consistent good service in the industry.
