What is the most expensive UA flight ever?

so, instead of complaining about rising fare costs, I thought we could embrace it. I am wondering what the most expensive coach ticket you guys have ever seen?
$760 for a 400 mile flight from ALD-IAD seemed high when I saw it back in 2006.

Highest fare ever seen on .bomb?

Yesterday I did a search for paid roundtrip fares LAX to MEL. Travel to be departure 2/17/09 and return 3/12/09 in business class.

.bomb returned a fare of US$270,072.80 on the UA 839/840 itinerary! All they have to do is sell one per flight to be rolling in revenue.

Has anyone ever seen a higher fare? I've got a screen shot of this but don't know how to post it.

FWIW the highest I've seen have been in the 45's for Europe - US - OZ in F.

Did you accidentally click the "I'd like to purchase the aircraft" checkbox?

Sorry. I hadn't seen these and should have searched before posting.

Anyway I've run through them all and so far as I can see I've got the record high dollar amount.

Who's talking about new aircraft... UA is flying old 747s that some other airlines remove from their fleets. Heck, even UA has gotten rid of some in recent months. So $270,000+ might be a nice windfall for them.

But yeah, I was joking.
