8000 miles short of *A F award!

i can't believe it, 8000 miles short and there's F space on one of the new 767's to FRA, on the exact date i want! there's also F space on LH on outbound. i must have been mean to puppies or something in a past life..cause C is showing 0 availability

sorry, just wanted to vent.

back to your regularly scheduled speculation of the new interior config aircraft's routes and schedules.

UA wants $.025 per mile..or something like that..plus it seems to take up to 4 days to get the miles, so by then i figure the availability will be gone.

considering an even swap, as i have 11k miles ticketed and probably another 50k in planned travel. just have to find someone who trusts me

edit: as for flying tomorrow..lol i dunno about dropping that much money on a walk up ticket to fly 4000 miles...might be a bit pricey

maybe you can find a friend who also is a frequent flyer on UA?...have them hold the tickets. It is a possibility

I would try and talk an agent into holding the itinerary while you wait for purchased miles to post. I'm sure it can be done. Not sure you will get it done though.

I suppose you could also call and start complaining until you get 8k miles added to your account. I've seen them add miles real-time before. Although they usually take a few days. (and note, I'm not recommending this)

I have had UA hold an award ticket for 3 days while waiting for purchased miles to post (7k). The agent asked me for the confirmation number from the mileage purchase transaction. IIRC the miles posted the next day.

I was told one needs to have the miles in order to hold an itinerary.

$250 for new F to Europe can't be too painful.

But what's the deal taking award trips when you're going for 1K?
