Deep clean update?
After the late-summer announcement of increasing the number of deep cleans on A/C, I was kinda expecting to run into a few that have been cleaned. Maybe I don't fly enough or they aren't cleaning the domestic fleet right now, but I haven't run into a 'cleaned' A/C since the announcement. I was wondering if anyone else flying domestic or international routes have? I just got off a transcon into IAD on a 752...it was gross

Reports say that United uses the post-flight surveys as one way to determine which planes need cleaning. So, if you have a bad experience like that, complete the survey.

We received info from onboard service just the other day. Deep cleans, carpet replacements, etc. are continuing. Particularly on the "lowest rated 737's". ^^

So the cleaning crews are not able or too biased to call in for some spring-cleaning of the birds?

I could defenitely tell that the 777 I flew on the other day had been deep-cleaned. I did happen to notice that the 737 I was on seemed cleaner than usual, too. Many of the "dirty" flights lately have been on 757s, too.

I think the 757s are the dirtiest planes in the fleet. For all the bad "dirty-thirties" rap they get, I think the 737s are cleaner.

I recently flew on a refurbished 752 from SFO to SAN - it was immaculate - new seats and cushions, working in seat power, clean restrooms, new carpet and wall panels. ^
Clearly, UA has let the fleet go for far too long before this type of cleaning took place. The difference between a refurbed aircraft and and dirty one is huge.

I have often found that there is inadequate basic cleaning between flights. I do hope United is serious about having a regular deep cleaning schedule.

IMO, the dirtiest places are often the footrests in int'l C. 
Because they don't often get folded out, the cleaners often don't clean them.
