Dog (and his posse) - deplaned
UA flight 386, LAX-DEN, yesterday morning -- as we were taxiing to the runway for takeoff, there's a commotion in FC. Apparently, someone really wanted to use the "facilities" and couldn't wait until after takeoff, so he just gets up and walks up there. Some words from the FA, a few heated words back, and the next thing I know the (visibly shaken) FA is on the phone to the captain, and we head back to the gate.
We are met by quite a few airport security and LAPD, and 4 of these "celebrity biker" types are escorted off the plane. After an hour of discussion, finger pointing, and more discussion, they (and their baggage) were officially deplaned. It doesn't appear that they were taken into custody or anything, just asked to leave. They look somewhat familiar, but nobody nearby could identify them. Then I just happened to be channel surfing today, and who do I see on A&E, but "Dog and his Posse", the very same group from the morning before.
I've never experienced anything like this on a flight, and while we were never actually off the ground, it was still a bit unnerving. All we could see from the cheap seats was a very burly biker type moving around up there, an FA that was really shaken up, and black-and-whites meeting us back at the gate. In the end, though, it didn't turn out to be a big deal, "Dog" seemed more contrite than belligerent as he was walking off the plane, and we all got to Denver just fine, although an hour late.

Wow Dog the Bounty Hunter? Yeesh, I wonder what security's like for that guy. Was he wearing his leather combat vest?

From MSNBC
But he didn't apologize to the passengers they'd just delayed for an hour with the antics.
Bounty hunter in the doghouse, thanks to wife
An airline put Duane “Dog” Chapman in the doghouse.
The bounty hunter and three members of his family were kicked off a United Airlines flight on May 7 after his wife, Beth, erupted in an obscenity-laden tirade at a flight attendant, reports the National Enquirer.
The star of “Dog the Bounty Hunter” and his family had just flown in from Honolulu and had boarded a connecting flight to Denver.
“Dog was sitting in the first-class section with his family, and the plane was getting pushed back from the gate," a source told the tab. “A flight attendant asked Dog to buckle his seat belt, but he was asleep."
The flight attendant nudged the bounty hunter to wake him up, but his wife “went ballistic” and started to scream and curse, according to the source, despite the flight attendant’s efforts to calm her down. The captain was notified, he turned the plane around and returned to the gate, and the Chapmans were told to get off the plane, according to the Enquirer. They were met by six airport police officers, but no arrests were made and the Chapmans were rebooked on another flight to Denver.
Chapman himself seemed embarrassed by the incident, according the source, who told the tab, “After the family was escorted off the plane, Dog apologized to everyone involved.”

o_O Needing to go to the bathroom and a wife going ballistic sounds like two very different stories.... Ah well...
On a side note, when I saw the topic, I thought the OP was going to post that a dog in the cargo hold was causing trouble which led to the owners being deplaned =P

Poor guy had to cancel his joint gig with P Diddy (or whatever he calls himself right now) recently, staged to promote anti-gun message and peace. Some peace and anti-gun ambassadors.
Appeal to PM Blair to revoke the ban failed, so in effect I should expect more violence and gun crime.

386 LAX to DEN is a 757. 24 F seats.
Off topic, but when they were deplaned, that opened up 4 seats in F. Did they fill those seats or did they remain empty?
On a route like this @ 8am on a Monday morning, I would assume there were people on the UG list. Anyone on that flight confirm empty seats in F?
Just curious.
