Using miles from someone else

Hi,

My boss gave me his United FF miles (175,000) and I would like to use them to fly to Aruba in January (4 people). I am wondering if there will be a problem with my booking them online using his name and FF number but my credit card for the booking fee? I know on American I needed to book online and they would not accept a credit card in the name of anyone but the person whose FF miles were? Thanks for any info. Also, this is the first time I will use United FF Miles (have used American, Delta and US Air) are hard/easy are they to get seats on if you book the day they are available?

Thanks for any insight

Shouldn't have a problem with using your credit card.

Wow, you have a nice boss! Saver award availability is somehat tight if you don't book far in advance, but with that many miles you could do standard awards, which are good for any flights with open seats.
