e-cert issues

I'm having issues with a $50 e-cert. I've tested it in the past, and it would reduce the fair by $50, but testing yesterday had no effect on fare reduction. I've tried multiple days of the week, different months out to Mar/07, different flight durations, different routes, and different times of the day, but no fare changes. I know it's a good e-cert number, as if I change some numbers on it, the fare search errors and highlights the cert field as bad. I've lost the email that the e-cert came in, so I don't know (or remember) what restrictions apply to this e-cert.

Does anyone know the limitiation on $50 e-certs? Have they totally expired? Issues with booking this month (holidays?) for this month (holidays?) or into '07? I don't want this to go to waste, but if I lost it for not using it, oh well...

Have you tried calling web support (1-800-589-5582 ). They may be able to research that number and tell you the T&Cs or they may give you a bunch of boloney on why your e-cert is not valid.
I've had mostly bad experiences with web support, but it may be a good start for you.

Make sure you document the names of the agents you've spoken with for your records, call back if you don't like what you hear or ask for a superviser.

Good Luck!!

E-certs are picky. Are you doing anything out of the ordinary on the itineraries you're pricing?
