I am 2P and have always gotten through. The rule in Denver is 1P and higher.

Last time I went through DEN, the guy behind me got turned around as a 2P. It went something like this:
Securitron3000 - I'm sorry sir, you've got to go to that line over there.
Mr. 2P - I am Premier.
S - Yes, you have to use that line over there.
M - Even as Premier?
S - You have to be Premier Exec or First (etc..)
M - But Premier can't?
S - Look, it has to look like this: <holds up my boarding pass> "Mr Ego.. Premier Executive 100k, UNITED First"
M - ... [walks away]...

But it says on United's website that in DEN "Priority Security Lane available for Global Services, United First, United Business, 1K, Premier Executive, Premier and STAR Alliance Gold/Silver members".
Nevermind, I re-read what the OP wrote and he already stated that. I'm going to bed.
Goodnight.

Should I ever get questioned (and I haven't), I simply say that the line is also for Star Alliance Silver members (which is what Preimier is).

I, too, as a 2p have always gotten through the line. And have taken others with me...shh! Don't tell anybody
And, hint, hint, if the line looks too long on one side of the terminal (usually the United side) go to the other security check-points, either on Concourse A, or the other side, and try their elite lanes...

Just lived here for a year but I find the security lines very easy to get through at DEN. When I moved here I had no UA status at all, I would just show my QA Platinum card and they would let me through, I was never refused. I thought this odd since I was flying UA, I think you should have to show partner status at least but it was never an issue.
Once I was flying out to LAX at the same time as a friend with no status was flying to BOS, I took him with me through the elite line without a single question so we could grab a coffee before our flights.
