Sorry if this is the wrong forum - first time post and a search did not show any previous questions of this nature.
My bank (Chase) is offering a UA check card ($25/yr) in which it's 1 mile for every $2 spent on any credit transaction (either signature authorized or internet), but not any ATM style transaction. I'm also of thinking of getting a UA milage credit card. Is it looked down upon or even rejected to use the credit card for all purchases and then pay it off monthly using the check card - thus earning miles in both transactions for the same Milage Plus account? Thanks in advance.

You can't use a check card to pay off a credit card.

This would effectively make both cards a 1.5 mile/$ earner. ^

I don't think it can be done. I am not aware of any way you can pay with your debit card - but than again I might be ignorant to that possibility.
Assuming the debit card is linked to your checking account, and there are some kind of convienence checks I suppose you could do it, but wouldn't both be Chase accounts and I think they might have restrictions on the convienence checks.
Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'm so accustomed to being able to pay all my bills with credit/check cards online, it didn't occur to me that my credit cards require a routing and account number for payment. I did verify with my current cards and they will not accept online payment via another card, but only with a routing/account number or physical payment (check/money order) Thanks again for taking the time.
Once upon a time I was a credit card telemarketer (don't hit me, please), and I do recall that this type of thing is further prevented because credit card access checks, cash advances, and similar instruments specifically do not earn points--else one could just transfer money around various accounts endlessly and earn unlimited points. (Though at the cost of paying the interest, anyway, at an 8-15% rate, maybe higher for cash transactions, to earn 1% back in points, which seems like a bad idea. Cash transactions also start charging interest immediately, unlike purchases, so you can't get out of paying interest on cash even if you pay the card in full every month--yet another way behaviors like this are prevented.)
