Any Global Services phone calls today?

Don't see anyone posting that they've got the tap on the shoulder yet.

I certainly haven't but perhaps others have?

United Global Services...do a search, there are many threads that explain this level of recognition that is based on level of spend vs amount of miles flown...

GS=Global Services. Sometimes they seem to call you to tell you that you have been annointed. I wouldn't know, I fly on the cheap.

Probably not today, it's a holiday for most all salaried employees who work M-F.

I just checked and I received my renewal via email on January 13, 2005 for that year.

I called another United Global Service number (not the standard number for services) and was informed that UAL has just begun notifying UGS invitees for 2006 either by email or direct mail. I did surpass my 2004 spending that earned me my 2005 UGS invitation but I have not received my email or land mail as of yet for 2006. Even though my spending last year was a little more than in 2004, this does not guarantee me UGS (I know that). I was told that looking into my account will reveal that I am currently a UGS member but there is no distinction between current member or renewed membership as the 2005 UGS status is good until the end of February. I suppose patience is what we all need. I just hope to know if I make 2006 UGS before BJ does.

No email or phone call here yet, but as Jan 2 is a holiday, I'm not surprised.

What does your "membership level" state on the united.com homepage? Mine says:

Hello Seattle1k
Membership level: GK
Current redeemable miles: XXX,XXX

Is this an error, 1K moniker, or UGS emblem?

GK means you are a 1K UGS ^

Congrats!

I got a call telling me there was an unfortunate mistake, and that my 1P status has been revoked. The agent tried to calm me down by telling me that I could get comped to Chairman's whatever-it-is on US. That only made me even angrier, because if I never go near another US "plane," it will be too soon.
Turns out that a bunch of other FTers were just playing a horrible joke on me.

That still cracks me up, by the way.
