done flying for the year and made 2K

And here is my summary:
Year to date Elite Qualifying Miles (EQM) 206,672
Year to date Elite Qualifying Segments (EQS) 55

I really flew a bit too much and too far away from home this year.

merry x-mas everyone!

BRAG, BRAG, BRAG!

For those of us addicted to miles, we are jealous. I only flew 110,000 in 2005.

Wow, an average of 3,758 miles per segment... pretty impressive. My average segment was 1,293 miles.

There might be a double EQM in play for the OP.

As for myself, 99602 BIS miles and 30 segments.

I have a hard time beating 100K EQM a year since all my flights are short...

No double EQM in play. I lived in Japan March - November and commuted home every two weeks. Did a double around the world in January.

Only 6 domestic segments this year SFO - SEA and SFO - LAX. Everything else was long flights mostly SFO - NRT.

I hope to hell not! That much travel in C would make me jump from 37,000 feet.

it was C. And after a couple of flights united was very generous with putting me in F on op ups. got 10 of them this year.

Did about $50K miles with AA on San Jose, CA - NRT just to compare. Apparantely they knew i flew a lot of ua miles, they comped me 3 times into F and let me know that they would appreciate my business (or maybe my travel agents called AA -who knows).

2k ... wow ... indeed many miles ...
(by the way, did that include the AA miles?)

on the topic of BIS vs EQM ... I noticed that mine are very close :
BIS = 114,449
EQM = 120,161
I.e. EQM/BIS = 1.05 (EQM only 5% more than BIS)

Were some of you earning a much higher ratio of EQM/BIS ??

Also, FWIW, I did those on 57 segments, i.e. 2,008 miles / segment

Other end of the spectrum

I averaged less than 800 EQM per EQS.
Too much UX.

This year 17K on UA and 4K on NW. Not a good year. Guess I'll be starting from scratch next year.
