I have been lurking here for a year...so first thank you....all your comments and strategies helped my husband get to premier exec on United and executive plat on AA last year (lots of trips to India and Europe)

I could really use someone's help to figure out whether he should pay the 200 to double the eqms....currently he has 70631 EQMS this year with one more trip planned....he is about to book the following:

roc-chicago on United
chicago-dub on aer lingus

dub-stockholm on sas 1007 base miles

stockholm-brussels on sas 794 base miles

brussels-washington on united 3876 base miles
washington-roc on united 293 base miles

I am just not sure if he gets the mulitiplier on top of the usual bonuses...he will be flying economy....thanks for anyone's help

The double EQM only works on UA metal, so you're still short by far. The $200 is only buying about 5k miles.

The $200 deal only applies to UA flights, and doubling the miles won't get him to 100,000, so don't bother.
