I called United once because most of my travel is international and I needed exact dates of when I was out of the country, so a few weeks after the request, I got one of the greenlines in the mail.

Would a letter to WHQ suffice?

The first time I called, they told me I had to write a letter. I called back and they had no problem initiating it over the phone. But here is the address they told me to send the letter to the first time I called:
Mileage Plus
PO Box 6121
Rapid City SD 57709

Requested mine on the phone.
Got a 8.5x11s on current UA stationary. 2 days later I got the same information on dotmatrix prints in a 1985 UA logo stationary.
So my questions is: Why send legacy, and current, and why not make it available on M+, and save 82 cents + paper costs.

While I was entering my FlightMemory data, I called and got the printout the next week. I did call the 1K line, though.
FWIW, when I called F9, they e-mailed it to me within 5 minutes.

I dug up this old thread because I'm interested in asking UA for one...
Has anyone had any recent success with getting these? Can they find flights that were not linked to your MP#/before you created your MP account?

Access to 2006 (and earlier) flights
Hey,
So, I just joined FlightMemory, and wanted to go add all those old flights from 2006 and earlier, but noticed that they're no longer available in Mileage Summary. Any way I can retrieve those?
Thanks,
jcasner

You can call Mileage Plus and request a "purge data print" of your account. You'll get everything they have on you.

Just ordered mine from when I opened my account in 2000 through 1/1/2006. The CSR said she couldn't pull anything more recent than 1/1/06, so all my flights in 2006 are missing. Any thoughts? Just call back? I'm tempted to do that, since the original CSR said it wasn't possible, then I mentioned the information from FT and she hung up on me...

This would be a good time to do it as everything could disappear if/when UA merges with CO.

This drives me crazy too! As someone that recently spent 3 months pouring over old stubs, photo albums, relative's patience, etc... I was very annoyed that the stub I did have couldn't provide a date.
I'm still going through old pictures to figure out what equipment I flew on but otherwise think I have all but 3-4 flights in there.
