Promo code for RCC 5000 miles?
I'm currently sitting in DEN and decided I wanted to join the Red Carpet Club. However, I wanted to do it through the web to get the 6000 bonus miles that were advertised in the 1P mail that came with my card. However, I don't have the promotional code for it. Does anyone know it?

I'm not in the RCC. I'm sitting in the regular DEN blue seats. I just want to sign up for the RCC today so I can use it.

I am pretty sure you need to be a 1K for the bonus miles. The link is in your 1K kit.

The flyer was also in the PremierExec kit only says you have to be an "elite."

There's a little "MPP 005" in parenthesis at the bottom right of the flyer that came in my 1K kit.
FWIW, I just got off the phone with a RCC CSR who said the 5K miles won't be posting until after the promo ends on April 30.

Hello.
Does anyone know if you can use a Visa gift card to make the purchase on line and thus get the 5K bonus?
They say "Debit" on them,which I suppose ,is not the same as a "credit card", which is what the web site says you have to use. Anyone?

Alright, I am logging on to United to register for this, and it keeps telling me my password is wrong. I did the send me a new one, changed it and it's still telling me my password is wrong. Anyone else?
Edited to add -- this appears to be a bug in the way Safari 2.0 (Tiger) handles the page. It worked correctly when I used Netscape.

I joined yesterday via the www.united.com/elite/joinRCC and had no issues using IE 6 under XP, so it might be a Safari issue, SFO 1K. My PB is at a friends so I can check for ya.
tattikat2 - a debit/gift card should be fine, I would think, since it's treated as Visa/MC by merchants.

Sorry for the bump up, but I had to ask. Has anyone not received the 5,000 miles yet, except for me? 
I renewed back in February...registered for the promo beforehand, and have the confirmation email.
I wrote UA RCC, and got a snippy little email back that said if I registered, and renewed my membership, I would get the miles eventually. That was a month ago, and still no miles. I believe the T&C stated they'd post 4 to 6 weeks after the promo?

As of today I had not received the miles. I called MP first, who told me to contact RCC - which I did. The women I spoke to was very nice (unlike the women I spoke with a couple of weeks ago). She asked if I registered, I said yes, and I received the screen saying I had, but I didn't print it. She said, that's okay and posted the 5000 miles to my account while I was on the phone with her.
