I recently flew ORD-BKK-ORD on UA881/882. When I ticketed I asked for point to point ticket with the stop in NRT listed on the tik to get the extra 1200 miles for the NRT stop. I was told this couldn't be done. Later, I discovered that it could be done. So I called and got them to change the outbound with the NRT stop but was told the return would entail my losing my good seat in the UD (15A). The agent then said she would enter into the record that I should get the ptp for the BKK-ORD-ORD segment as well even though the tik still read BKK-ORD.

Just returned 3 days ago and the return BKK-ORD hasn't posted, but I called MP to check that I'd get the BKK-NRT-ORD miles. I was told I wouldn't and that what I bought/flew is what I'll get. I pointed out that the agent said I'd get the miles and had entered that in the record. MP said they couldn't see the record, but it didn't matter.

Has anybody had any luck getting miles in such a situation? I'm not sure who to call to get this resolved. MP is stonewalling. Will the 1K desk step in on this, or Customer Relations?
