I'm a 1K with 103K BIS and 65 segments last year. 6 roundtrips for me.

I'm always in the cheapest, non-refundable class available so maybe they are trying to get me to trade-up in class. I might do 6 roundtrips but I doubt they will be in qualifying classes.

What's the formula?

I need to purchase and fly 5 paid, qualifying roundtrip to qualify for the bonus miles.

I speculate this has something to do with the number of roundtrips I flew on UA metals during the period in 2004. Remember the Great Offer of 2003 when you receive extra EQMs based on the number of UA segments you flew more than you flew during the same period in 2002?

So, I went to my mileage summary and counted the number of roundtrips I flew on UA from 16-Jan-04 to 15-Apr-04. And there I have: five roundtrips on UA metal, plus three non-UA roundtrips on *A, but those don't count.

Does this formula sound right?

This sounds like discrimination based on one’s flying pattern. 1K light here req’d 5, felt sorry for those having to fly 10 and envy those only needed 1 to get the same 35K miles.

Still waiting for their EQM promotion for ALL patiently…..

Guess I lose...

Last year 1Q I flew almost 90K (back out an award ticket to New Zealand from that), so I've received ZIP on any bonuses/promos, etc.

Ironically enough my ONLY travel so far through Prez Weekend is AWARD travel (in fairness, a switch from my normal pattern, but still).

Oh well. Cheers. Sharon

35K? I wish!

After running a sophisticated monte carlo simulation based on my past purchasing patterns, current fare availability, upcoming travel schedule, phases of the moon, and predicted appearance of 2005 on the mileage summary page, I predict I will net approximately zero (0) miles from this promotion.

what about those who had 125 K EQM's in 2004

So, given that those who flew 125+ EQMs in 2004 get double miles in april. you would get 4x the miles for a Q and above fare for a RT in april... true?

I'd say no as the following is included in the T's and C's for this new MPD065 bonus:

5. Not combinable with other offers.

but as with all things UA/MP your mileage may, and probably will, vary.

I feel so left out. No email from UA yet. However, I did receive an email this morning about a free Sony walkman if I fly a "p.s." flight in certain fare classes.

My offer was for 1 flight.

I've only flown 13000 miles so far this year (one int'l and one domestic), and I still need to submit to get mileage credit for my int'l trip this December (another 10000 miles).

No love here in Dulles for this 2P. However for grins I went to the MPD075 web page and entered in my MP number, and it seemed to accept my number. I wonder if that is coincidental, or if it actually was offered to me but my spam filter ate the email. Oh well if I don't get the offer...could have used the bonus.
