The two Japanese carriers JL and NH consider full fare mean Y class, all other class will get 70% of actual miles, no matter you are on NH metal codeshare with UA, or having the NH # flights. I don't see and don't know what class will get only 50% of actual miles, since I had a G and T class fare to Japan from HKG, still earn 70% of actual miles.
