"O'Hare Laguna Beach Santa Ana"

I thought maybe the OP typed in something wrong, but sure enough on the 1K web site it says Laguna Beach Santa Ana.

Did UA buy some planes with Plontoons (or whatever those things are called that can land on water)?

I'd love to see a 757 (or A319/20) land in Laguna Beach, everyone would be their BOB!

DCA is international if you count Canada, Nassau, Bermuda, and another other places that have Customs/Immigration pre-clearance. I believe DCA also has Customs/Immigration on call, but I don't think it applies since I think General Aviation is prohibited at DCA.

About time! As much as I liked getting free food, I have really enjoyed all of the BOB meals that I've eaten. Its nice to see this exapanded to more routes. The Denver to SoCal routes seem to be missing from the current and future offerings.

BOB was on my DEN-OAK afternoon flight yesterday. Not sure if it's a new addition or if it's always been there, since I hadn't flown UA in ages prior to yesterday.

What wasn't mentioned is that BOB is being discontinued on flights under 1440 miles starting in August.

1440 is the distance PHX-ORD. It is slightly under 3.5 hours PHX-ORD and slightly over 3.5 hours ORD-PHX.

So will BOB be flying with Ted on this route?

Does this mean the end of free snack boxes on ALL mid-con flights?

I flew BWI-DEN in Y at lunchtime last week and expected BOB service...instead was served a (free!) turkey sandwich with chips and cookie.

I still don't understand why passengers would actually pay $10 for a glorified airline meal when they can purchase much better quality food in the airport for the same price or less.

For those wondering, I've been told that BOB is now all cash since the CC machines (pocket pc's) that were initially being used were growing legs if you know what I mean.
