Mileage posting hell

Flew from IAD to ARN (Stockholm) via MUC outbound and via FRA home. Then flew SK ARN-Goteborg within Sweden. For the LH and SK flights asked at check-in if they had my MP number and they always said yes. Got back home and the UA flights posted but only the return ARN-FRA flight posted, but without the double mileage status credit. So I called MP and they first told me that I was flying on an LH ticket all around (not true) and when I found the UA ticket number they told me it could take up to 90 days to post the MUC-ARN flight (why?) and that their system did not take the double mileage for the ARN-FRA flight so it would have to be sent to a supervisor So I sent an e-mail to the 1K desk and got a prompt reply promising double miles for both flights BUT:

"due to the contractual obligations that United has with our partner airlines, the appropriate steps must be followed in order for the mileage to be posted. If you do not receive the appropriate miles within 45 days, please feel free to
contact me directly and I will be happy to further your request."

So after 40 minutes on the phone and writing e-mails, I was told that I might well have to write again.

Then they said:

"Unfortunately, we do not have any record of your intra-Scandanavian
flights to/from Gothenburg. Our Mileage Plus Service Center will be
happy to assist you with obtaining that credit if you will be so kind to
contact them at 1-800-325-0046."

So I did and offered them the ticket number, PNR, and flight numbers but they insisted that I fax them (at my expense involving even more time since I would first have to copy the ticket and write another note) the original ticket because "we have no way of verifying whether what you have told us is correct"

Really? Will they expect me to fly the plane as well the next time I have a UA flight? Getting these miles should be a routine thing. It has now taken me more than an hour, writing e-mails, hanging on hold, etc. But they do say:

"Thank you for your continued loyalty and support of United Airlines, Mr.
xxx (spelling my name wrong) . It is a pleasure to serve you."

Of course, it's a pleasure. They expect me to do all of their work. I thought that UA customer service had improved since bankruptcy. Guess not.

Thanks much, tclin, and for your private e-mail. Alas, the UA Japan web site is in Japanese (not surprising but not helpful to me ). So I went to the SAS website and tclin is correct--I would not get Eurobonus points on this--but I then called SAS and they said MP points are different--they do accrue on this route. So the issue is now to get UA to find a way to get me the miles ).

The URL is for UA Japan site in ENGLISH.

I know every program has their own FFP scheme. But as far as I know, you cannot earn any miles/points this particular route (ARN-GOT) in ANA Milege Club, LH Miles and More, SK EuroBonus, and UA Mileage Plus(?).

I cannot find anything about this issue in united.com.

Thanks, but the website in the private mail was in Japanese. I have written UA to find out what the policy is.

I am also interested in UA's policy if this exception apply to Mileage Plus.
