Using E-cert with multiple passengers

I've got a $200 e-cert that I got as compensation that I want to use on an upcoming trip. The problem is someone is traveling with me and in the T&C's say that it's only good for a single passenger itinerary. Is there a way if I book them separate I can get my companion on the same PNR so they can get E+ access with me? I could book separate and deal with E- for the flights since they're not that long but I'd much rather sit in E+.
