UA to CO fare code mapping thread
I think it would be helpful to have a thread that shows how UA fare codes map to CO fare codes.
I would be happy to keep this first post updated if people will post their experiences from comparing their itineraries.
I have one to start with:
UA "S" = CO "T"
The way I confirmed this was simply by going onto each airlines website and looking at the itinerary. It showed "S" on .bomb and "T" for Continental.com
Can anybody else confirm others?

The revenue booking code alignment starts on 2/1 so at this point there's probably little need to go over those... it's going to be the same as UA's booking codes with the addition of G as the lowest published.
I'm most interested in award booking codes... I don't know how to decipher the CO codes on UA's Star Alliance booking page. Possible that CO's award codes will also change on 2/1..not sure.

And as of Tuesday (Feb 1) they are all the same anyways.
X/I/O are award seats in Y/C/F, respectively. ZE is used for B/M-Ups for elites. R is for all other upgrades (miles, SWU or otherwise).

are there other threads about fare mapping? I'd like to create a free app on the app store that will map fares from UA Marketed to *A Operated and v.v.
(and also add in some simplicity elements, where it only worries about the "inter-sector" fares, as in fares that earn different rates. CO H mapping to UA Q would be irrelevant whereas CO B mapping to UA H will be relevant, as B is supposed to earn more EQMs than H...)
and this one I promise will be free

Didn't realize they would be aligned as early as next week.
Never mind!

There are lots. But excluding data from the list because you don't think it is important is probably a bad idea unless you are willing to verify the crediting rules for all the other programs that might be affected. In other words, just because UA and CO credit a fare the same way doesn't mean that BD or LH or OZ do.
Here's one more: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...ncomplete.html.
And I've got 195 entries on the website I linked above, though 32 are for UA/CO combos. With all the CO stuff changing I'm sure some of my data will be inaccurate going forward.
