Problems with ACA , again..

What else is new? ..
Yesterday I was on the 14:35 YUL-IAD flying back home to SEA. The plane gets to YUL on time and wait for 10 mins for the gate.

Air Canada jet pulls away, BLR CRJ takes its place.. Everything is smooth as silk.

Come 14:40 everybody is on their seats. At this point I am still ok with slight departure, because I know that the schedules are padded.

15:00 comes and goes and we are still at the gate.. At this point me, the guy next to me and some other pax gets nervous about making their connection.

We leave at 15:30 and it turns out that we were waiting for a punk that showed up at 14:30 at the check in counter.

I don't know what are the criteria that gate agents apply to flights, but almost an hour of delay for a pax that didn't show on time is stupid.

I was able to make my connection within seconds of push back.

I guess it matters that I made it to my flight, but I don't know if ACA will EVER get their act together..

Fly Independence Air? No, I'd rather fly Ariana

UA started phasing in ACA into ORD <-> BNA in October. Used to be nice and easy with AWAC running everything. On an BNA -> ORD flight at 6:00pm, you may watch 2 AWAC planes unload and park for the night while still waiting for your plane to arrive. Since ACA flies, my 6pm has left no earlier than 8:30pm on 3 occasions.

Dec 10, they did the ultimate. 5:47p to IAD and 6:20pm to ORD scheduled with ACA. ACA has only one plane on the ground as of 5:30pm. IAD delayed until 6:30pm. Passengers board. Snow starts falling in BNA, but not sticking to anything. They pulled the IAD pax at 8:30pm, rebooked and then put ORD pax on the same plane?! We finally took off at 9:15pm!

Only exp with ACA has been hell. AWAC delays were never worse than an hour, or cancellation was announced before I left for the airport.

Does anyone besides me think they are doing a lot of it on purpose now? Trying to p*** off UA as much as possible, as well as the pax? I can't tell you when I have seen an ACA EWR departure say "on time" in the last 3 months.
