Modifying refundable tickets

Hey,

First post!

Anyways, I am going to do a business trip to Japan soon - I was hoping to stop over in Hawaii on the way back - can I have my company book the fare as SFO-NRT-SFO, then while in Narita modify the ticket to include a stopover in Honolulu and pay the difference? (which seems like $100 or so)

The ticket will be refundable business class on United.

Thanks,
-Jay

Full fare business class allows unlimited stopovers and there is no charge to change. So yes, you can do this. The flights from Honolulu to the mainland will be First Class since they are 2 cabin aircraft.

11 STOPOVERS - UNLIMITED STOPOVERS PERMITTED. A STOPOVER
OCCURS WHEN THE PASSENGER DOES NOT DEPART AN
INTERMEDIATE POINT WITHIN 24 HOURS.
