Comp to 1K...
Will UA bump a current Prem. Ex. member with 95,xxx EQM with a few more trips(1 transpacific and transcon) already booked to 1K? The only reason is to increase my chances of upgrades(currently on the waitlist for the transpacific trip SFO-HKG).
Thanks
Thanks

1. Unlikely in response to a request.
2. Comps to 1K do happen, but are rare.
3. Comps are generally one-time events, so don't waste it here.
4. However you aren't really talking about a comp the way we normally think about it (i.e. status match). Instead you're looking for them to register your new status early.
5. And they do that on their own sometimes. It's called 'On Track' and discussion can be found here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum50/HTML/020280.html
6. However, that's based on early travel and revenue -- and happens via sweeps not upon request.
You can ask, but assume the answer is no. Fly and enjoy your new status when it comes.
And remember that once you're made a 1K, you need to have your Mileage Plus number removed and re-entered in existing reservations so that they reflect your new status.
