Does anyone know the difference between?

Sorry for the newbie question... but does anyone know what's the difference between..

"Sales Division Global Status Upgrade" S*PMO/UG-MPS-Global,
"Sweetspot Systemwide Upgrade" PMO/UG-SWEET SPOT,
and
"Confirmed Systemwide Upgrade" PMO/UG-SYSTEM

The reason Im asking, is because my dad is flying from YVR-FRA-ATH-FRA-YVR with LH (on V and Q class) and I'm trying to see what upgrade would help him out.

Cheers,

In theory your Dad could use:

Confirmed Systemwide Upgrade" PMO/UG-SYSTEM

or

Sweetspot Systemwide Upgrade" PMO/UG-SWEET SPOT

to upgrade any single segment on LH, say YVR-FRA. The upgrade is only available to request at check-in and/or the gate.

LH used to accept UA Sales Upgrades, they started doing this back in 2001. (Sales Division Global Status Upgrade" S*PMO/UG-MPS-Global is a Sales upgrade.) However I cannot verify that this is still the case.

Remember: The Sweet Spot is only valid for tickets purchased on or after July 15.

For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travels sake. The great affair is to move; to feel the needs and hitches of our life more nearly; to come down off this feather-bed of civilisation, and find the globe granite underfoot and strewn with cutting flints.
