Flight Codes
Quick question for you...
I am travelling on an award ticket yyz-lax via a quick stop in chicago, It is supposed to be business all the way and since I am not fluent in travel speak I don't know if this is right... Toronto to Chicago flt1001 in O class and Chicago to LA flt 109 in I class. To my understanding flt1001 is on a 319 which doesn't have business. I am confused (very obviously) Would anyone that flies this route please explain?
Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sounds a bit confusing.
O is a Business Class Award Seat
I is a Business Class Upgrade from Economy Seat
If this is a non-revenue (except taxes) Mileage Plus Award, the entire booking should be in O.
In any event, an A319 does not have Business Class and that portion of the trip would be provided to you in Domestic First. You didn't specify the aircraft type for your ORD-LAX segment. Hopefully you're on a 3 Class 777 or 747 so you can really enjoy the Business Class experience.

UA109 ORD-LAX indeed is a B747-400. That's why you were booked in award business class.
