2003 Status comps?

We are a family of 4 with 1.6 million collective (revenue) miles with UA in the last 10 years. A few times during that period, we flew more than 25k but failed to do the required 50k and were comped 'same status' for the following year automatically (without even asking)

During 2002 we all acheived Premier Status barely...(just under 27k each) and used our Mileage + miles for Saver Awards.

Has anyone been comped 'same status'for 2003?

Does anyone think that UA might give us comps again for 2003? We just received our on-line 'My Mileage' statements today and they still show our status as Premier Exectives...I thought 28 February was the last day we would be granted any of our old perks!

BTW, American gave us all 2003 Platinum status as new customers last year...in a 'heartbeat'

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Your status will be good until March 31, 2003 this year because of the extended qualification period promo.

Funny...just got our new 2003 Silver cards in the mail today...with a date of 7 March on the cover letter.

But our UA on-line 'My Mileage' statements dated today,14 March indicates we are still Premier Executives.

Typical double-speak from good, old UA.
If you want to keep the customer...CONFUSE THEM!!

Empress, thanks for the reply....I thought UA was asking Premiers to pay for getting the qualification extensions beyond 31 December...we certainly didn't!

Would I be wasting my time by asking for comped 'Gold' for all of us?

Maybe they don't care about us 'old customers' anymore...Perhaps they think that new customers will flock to the door to help them out of Chapter 11...Rules are rules but...??!!
